Natalia Werhun-Popowicz is a lawyer, notary public, and founder of Werhun Law. Natalia opened Werhun Law with the goal of providing high quality legal services in a way that is accessible and affordable to clients. She is committed to helping clients find practical solutions in a timely, effective and cost-conscious manner. Natalia has acted for clients all over Ontario, including other lawyers who have confidently retained her to represent them on their personal matters. Ask Natalia what the best part of her job is and she will tell you - it's working with her clients!

Natalia was called to the Ontario Bar in 2012 after completing her law degree at the University of Ottawa in 2011, graduating Cum Laude. As a law student, she interned with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, as well as the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. During her studies, Natalia was awarded the Godyne Sibay Scholarship in Real Estate Law. After graduating from law school, she articled at a prominent large firm in Ottawa, where she was subsequently hired as an associate in the Real Estate and Development and Municipal Law groups. After moving back to the Greater Toronto Area, she worked at a small firm in Markham for over 6 years where she led the residential real estate practice, and regularly acted on commercial real estate transactions, financing (acting for both borrowers and lenders on institutional and private mortgages), and commercial leasing matters.

While articling, Natalia completed the Condominium Institute (Ottawa Chapter) Condominium Director’s Course. This allowed her to develop a deeper understanding of the inner workings of condominium corporations, which she applies when advising clients on transactions involving condominium properties. Most recently, Natalia completed the post-law Intensive Wills and Estates program at Osgoode Hall Law School.

Natalia takes pride in her commitment to clients and her involvement in the community. Natalia was on the Administrative Committee of the Ukrainian National Federation – Toronto Branch. She has also served as a Director on the Board of the Ukrainian Credit Union Limited, and as a Director on the Board of the UNF Education and Recreation Society from 2013 to 2019.

Natalia speaks Ukrainian and conversational Polish. She grew up in Hamilton, and currently resides in the Eatonville area of Etobicoke with her husband and two small children.
